Candidate for House of Representatives
Young. Committed. Results-driven.
I am 29-year-old Sasmit Pokharel. Born in Kathmandu, Constituency No. 5 — I grew up and studied right here. I have been working closely with the community continuously.
I believe politics is not money but service. I am currently a candidate from Rastriya Swatantra Party for Kathmandu Constituency No. 5 with election symbol 'Bell'.
We need to create policies and laws that align with the aspirations and wishes of the people for the prosperity of our nation.
Comprehensive development is only possible through creative people's representatives who keep the desires of the people at the center. Parliament needs citizen-friendly policy-making, establishment of methods and systems, and people's representatives who can lead the country's comprehensive development.
Ensuring citizen-friendly policy and service delivery for the country's comprehensive development, and establishing institutions of law, method, and system — institutional development is my main agenda.
Education is not just my priority in the field of attainment — it is also a field where I have worked and delivered results. Spending on education is not an expense but an investment. I am committed to reflecting this understanding in policy and law.
Not sending youth abroad, but creating opportunities right here in Nepal.
Sports is not just entertainment — it is also for prestige, discipline, opportunity, and a healthy life.
Quality public service and a well-managed city is another key agenda.
Along with these, all matters of public concern will also be my agenda.

Parliament is a place for policy-making, law-making, and establishing systems. The country needs reform — real governance and leadership that keeps the aspirations and desires of the people at the center. That is the parliament we need.
That is why I envision a parliament where energetic, capable, and responsible young MPs engage in deep, independent, and fact-based policy and law-making. I want to create a parliament that can fulfill the aspirations of the people and the expectations of the nation — one based on policy, method, and system.
And finally, dear voters — people of all ages and walks of life — I am committed to contributing to the building of a prosperous Nepal through experience and the best use of modern technology. I believe not in speeches but in work and results. I wish to be a representative you can trust.
I humbly request you to grant me the opportunity to serve you by casting your precious vote on the Bell symbol.
